Valladolid is the capital of Castilla y Leon. Its geographic situation permits comunication with the principle Spanish and European provinces by air through the airport of Villanubla, and through the motorways and roads networks.
Valladolid is characterised by its mediteranean, continental climate with extreme temperatures, owing to its distance from the sea. The summers are hot and the winters very cold. The summer is dry and temperatures often reach 30ºC, and sometimes 35ºC. |

Throughout the province, you will find theme parks, interpretation centers and can take strolls along the river Pisuerga and by the Castilla canal.
You can travel through time visiting the theme park of Mudéjar in Olmedo, or visit the natural park of Walvo with its large range of animals in semi-freedom.
There are many open spaces, the Riberas de Castronuño and the Vega del Duero that is a natural reserve. |

The province guards a historic bequest and Patrimonial in each of its municipals. In cultural ambience the museums offer a great diversity of the art and culture of our country. In the capital the museum of Science and the museum Patio Herreriano that houses the best private collection of contempory art in the whole of Spain.
In the province you will find roman remains in the provincial museum of las Villas Romanas, while the national museum of sculpture houses a splendid collection of polychrome works; In the museum of Encaje de Tordesillas you can admire works made from the XVI century to present day. |

The gastronomia of Valladolid unifies quality and variety emphasizing amongst other foods the turresillano chicken and the tudela esparagus, although the best without a doubt is the wood oven roast young lamb. All of this can be accompanied with the soups of the province that come from 4 denominations of origin (Ribera de Duero, Cigales, Rueda and Toro).
Of the fiestas and traditions well known to the area the Easter week fiestas offer celebrations that have been declared of worldwide touristic interest.
The happy and warm character of our towns is reflected in our popular customs. The strong roots of our culture and tradition make the celebrations fantastic in all towns whatever the size. Peñas, Encierros, running with bulls, folklore declarations and a multitude of activities bring more visiters every day. Many of our fiestas are related to the harvest of grapes like the fiestas of Vendimia (wine making) in the month of October but also have alot to do with historic tradition.
In the town of Tiedra you can visit the castle contructed towards the end of the XIII century, the church of Salvador from the XVI century and the ermita (chapel) of our lady of Tiedra Vieja, from the XVIII century.
The route of the springs, is a route through the different natural springs in the area, while practising hiking or cycling etc...
