In the Region of Murcia and in the centre of the wide coverage of the Mar Menor , there is located Los Alcázares , a name given in memory of the palaces that, during the Middle Ages, were overlooking the seashore. Los Alcázares offers 7km of beach, with a different sea to enjoy all year round. Its water contains a high concentration of salts and iodine, which make them medicinal. Los Alcázares air base was the first seaplane base in Spain and its Eagle Patrol carries out exhibitions and aerial manoeuvres almost daily.
