Grupo Ibersol sees Corporate Social Responsibility as a key commitment that goes beyond our hotel business. We strongly believe in generating a positive impact on society and the environment we operate in, actively doing out bit to foster the well-being of the most vulnerable communities.

One of the cornerstones of our CSR strategy is our collaboration with the NGO Kumpu, an organisation committed to education and sustainable development in Africa. Through this alliance, we have been involved in a number of different solidarity initiatives that strive to improve quality of life of communities in Guinea-Bissau.

Over the last few years, Grupo Ibersol has significantly contributed to building schools in the region of Xime, ensuring children and young people have access to a decent education. We don’t just make financial donations, out team is also directly involved, personally visiting the projects to ensure that the funds reach their destination and are used effectively.

In addition, we have carried out various solidarity actions in our hotels to involve employees and customers in this cause. These include the donation of mattresses from the Hotel Ibersol Antemare**** to the NGO Kumpu , which at the time of the DANA in Valencia allocated them to the most needy people, as well as fundraising initiatives, such as the sale of the Christmas lottery with a solidarity contribution for each ticket sold. We have also organized internal activities such as Christmas Jumper Day and the solidarity Secret Santa, in which our employees have actively participated to raise funds for the NGO Kumpu.

Ibersol Initiatives

At Ibersol, we’ll continue to focus on social impact projects that have a positive effect on people’s lives. Other initiatives and examples of our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, values that we see as being of utmost importance in our business activity.

Renewable energy

The group has implemented photovoltaic panel systems at its facilities, doing its bit to generate clean energy while cutting down on its dependence on non-renewable energy sources. This action helps minimise our carbon footprint while fostering long-term sustainability.

Elimination of single-use plastics

With a view to cutting down on plastic waste, Grupo Ibersol has carried out a number of initiatives, such as getting rid of plastic cups in its facilities or using reusable soap containers. What’s more, by 2025 all hotels will use paper made from ecological cellulose, saving 301 kg of plastic, 167,260 litres of water and 33.45 tons of CO2

Collaboration with local entities and fostering inclusion

We foster a close-knit relationship with the local community, supporting social initiatives and projects that do their bit for the economic and cultural development of the region and have a positive impact on the communities we operate in. What’s more, Grupo Ibersol is firmly committed to fostering inclusion from staff recruitment right the way through to customer service.

Support for youth education and training

With a view to fostering young talent, Grupo Ibersol supports the education and training of students through partnerships with schools and training centres. Through professional internships, we offer young people the chance to acquire experience and develop skills in the hotel sector, helping them to integrate into the labour market.
